What if we’re it?

Let’s suppose for the moment that we, here on earth, are the only life in the universe. The question then remains are we the first to form or the remains of what once was?

In either case we are a poor example of what life there is currently. Wars, atrocities, serious injustices all because someone has chosen to live or believe different than ourselves.

If we are the beginning then we are off to a very bad start. Surely this isn’t the best we can offer the universe in the early stages of life? Dare we go out into the universe with all that we currently have to bring with us? We are not ready!

If we are the last of life here in the universe then we are a sad testament to what once was and I often wonder how bad it was if we are the example, the remains of what once was? Maybe we were shunned and banished form something far greater? Are we to go out in such a sad state, a dim light fading in the darkness? Surely we could’ve done better?

Regardless of which way this is going, surely we can do better? Let us put in one major effort to start or end this better! Stop for a moment and forget your divides, your prejudices, your short sighted assumptions of that which you don’t know, and see the world as it is for what it is and ask of ourselves “How can I do better?”.

Am I ready to go out there?

Life! How do you want it to begin? How do you want it to end?

START THE REVOLUTION!

When America was founded our founding fathers created various documents one of which is the Declaration of Independence! This document was in itself a declaration of war, a drawing of the line in the sand that states we have had enough! Enough of the government being in our business, enough of being over taxed, enough of limited or no freedom, enough of a specific religion being forced upon us and this was in 1776!

It is therefore my duty as an American to say I have had enough. I hereby state my own Declaration of Independence and therefore remove myself from the Republican/Democrat train wreck and proceed to seek out other, better choices.

I have had enough and draw the line in the sand. Starting this November I will go into the voting booth and start a revolution of real change as I vote for “Other”. The tea is going into the harbor!

You can’t have different voting for the same! At some point you have to say enough and make change really happen. It starts with you!

THINK DIFFERENT…I DARE YOU!

What I Feel!

As a writer and philosopher I carry the heaviest burden and the deepest pain of seeing a nation I cannot change, a people I cannot save, a world who’s future is bleak and dark who’s destiny I cannot prevent.

No one can ever understand how I feel inside and what it is I carry in my heart. Only one like me will understand this burden and pain that resides within me.

All I can do is the one thing I know how…write. Write in hope that somewhere someone who can direct these changes will see, understand and hear the message. I write in hopes that maybe, just maybe, I can make a difference even if small. Even the smallest spark can start the greatest of fires!

Maybe my small spark of desire for change will inflame the world with the fires of hope and change! Maybe not today, but maybe tomorrow the fires of change will rage!

I carry a burden no one can take from me and it is heavy.
I feel a pain no one can cure and it runs deep in my soul.
I carry a hope for a hopeless future.
I carry the spark that could very well set the world ablaze!

True Revolution

True revolution does not require weapons of war or destruction, but a change in precepts to seek out justice in the unjust and to bring about that which is right from all that is wrong. To bring about true ideals that balance lives of those who live in said nation with values of fairness, justice and wisdom.

True revolution begins in ones heart as the soul wearies of unjust acts by those in power and seeks to correct the destructive course of the nation of which they reside to bring about true peace and prosperity.

True revolution comes when one chooses to rise up and say NO MORE, that this has gone on long enough! When one desires hope for humanity in an inhumane world so inasmuch that one will stand even when at their weakest to bring strength to others just as weak and guidance to those lost of heart and hope.

True revolution begins with the spoken word or the written lines of ideals, hopes, and dreams of those who wish to bring about change, true change.

True revolution begins when we elect true leaders that support the ideals of fairness, justice, hope and the dreams of the nation of which they are to serve.

I now stand and draw the line that now is the time to start this revolution to change the direction of which we are headed. Election day is coming, stand your ground, bridge the gap, and stop letting those in power cross the line.

True revolution begins when we finally decide we want change and work as one nation to do just that. No more racial, political nor religious divides!

We are one or we are none!

I Live a Life

I don’t choose a life, I live one.  Each day I see an opportunity to not only make a difference in the lives of others, but in my own life.

Each day I look for the chance to do something unplanned and off the wall.  Sometimes others surprise me, sometimes I surprise myself.  I will plan something, but am ready for those plans to change at a moments notice.

I live my life like the wind at times.  While I stay grounded and plan for things that need planning, I am not afraid to change other plans as I go and do something far greater than I originally expected.

In the midst of my fears, anxiety and depression there is a tremendous amount of discovery and courage that has allowed me to face all of my fears and worries.  Even being terrified of water, yet there I am body surfing in the Gulf.  The fear of not living is the worst one of all and that fear I will defeat.

I live my life, I find my own path and if no path is set, I make one.

I am a leaf in the wind and never know where I will land next!

Do That

What makes you happy, do that.
What brings adventure to your life, do that.
What heals your heart, do that.
What brings peace to your soul, do that.

But be warned, you can’t have happiness without sorrow, you can’t have adventure without risk, you can’t have healing without pain, and you can’t have peace without turmoil.

But still, do that for it is worth all you experience to get there.

The Final Transmission – Goodbye 2016

Here it is the end of 2016. What do I see for 2017 and beyond? The same old stuff…Hate, religious prejudice, political divide, racial tensions. There will be attacks, more hate, more riots and a repeat of all we’ve seen yesterday and today. We will point fingers and blame the other side and ignore our own influence.

History repeat itself because we never learn what works and what doesn’t. We never learn and can only hope future generations will, but it’s us they learn from. Sad.

It’s not a question if there is life out there in the universe, it’s a question of “Are we the best it could do?”. Are we? We could be!

If we are the first of life to appear in this universe then we are off to a sad and sorry start and can only hope we change and do better before we reach out to other worlds.

If we are the last of life in the universe then maybe we came from somewhere where they didn’t learn as well and are a sad and final testimony to the life that once existed. Or we were kicked out!

During the dark ages scientific development was delayed by centuries, at least 600 years. Imagine where we would be right now! Imagine where we would be if we stopped the hate, the prejudice, the religious and political divides, stopped expecting everyone to live by our rules, standards, religion and political ideals.

Imagine what 7 billion people could do if they worked together to improve, advance and support each other. We have the resources, the technology, and the ability to do so.

It starts and stops with us.

But we’re too busy wanting our political ideals to be the rule of the land. We’re too busy want our religious book to be the law. We’re too bust thinking our religion is what the country should follow. We’re too busy thinking our idea is better and reject all others solely over the fact the other person isn’t in the same political party as we are. We’re to busy fighting over something a simple as skin color. Why does my color determine what I am? IT DOESN’T!  Neither does religion or politics.

We’re too busy punishing over differences and not busy enough finding common ground to build on. Believe in my god, religion, political ideals or you’re not good enough.

Well then I guess I’m not good enough. And I’m proud of that! If I need to align with your list of what it takes to be valued, then I don’t want to be good enough for you!

We can do better. So why don’t we?
