I’m going to change the world!

I’m going to change the world! Yeah you heard me, I am going to change the world. I am going to do so by changing my small part of it as I work to improve, rebuild, strengthen and live a better life, for by doing so I can and will inspire others to do so. My world affects theirs, thus change is a chain reaction.

Six degrees of separation, a theory that everyone in the entire world is connected through just six people you know. Imagine if you inspire just six people a day, that would be 180 people in a month. Now imagine that, for that same month, those six people did the same thing and each inspire six people they knew and then those six did the same and so on…just for one month. In ten days that is over ten million people, assuming we can keep the chain reaction going.

Voting and politics aren’t going to change the world. We’re too busy arguing who has the right platform.

Social and welfare programs aren’t going to change the world. We have lots of these already in place and yet the problems increase.

Taxes and money aren’t going to change the world. We’re too busy spending it wrong and it’s never enough for when we spend it right!

War and conquest aren’t going to change the world. Why do we think senseless killing of other nations is going to improve or change anything?

Religion isn’t going to change the world. We’re too busy arguing who’s is right.

We’ve been trying all these things for centuries and the result is the same, a world in turmoil. Nothing changes. True change is within you. Only when a person changes and inspires others to do the same, only then will we see the world change.

I vote for a better world. I will support a cause that truly helps someone better themselves. My money and resources will go to bettering my life and those around me when I can. I will fight against injustice and oppression. Humanity and kindness to others is my religion. It’s time for a chain reaction!

The Last Stand

The day will come when humanity will make its last stand. The air raid sirens will wail one last time and then in a brief moment, it will all be over. What will we leave behind?

When the last fire goes out, when the smoke clears, when the dust settles, and the last brick falls, what will be left to remember us by? What testament will be left to tell our story? What legacy will be left as our final message to whoever finds it? Will our story even be worth preserving? How will we be remembered?

I tell you now, this is our last stand! If we fail to change course then I fear the day will come when you will hear the sirens wail, a loud rumble in the sky followed by a bright flash and then… nothing! As yourself: How will you remember me? What is my legacy to those that follow?

What if we’re it?

Let’s suppose for the moment that we, here on earth, are the only life in the universe. The question then remains are we the first to form or the remains of what once was?

In either case we are a poor example of what life there is currently. Wars, atrocities, serious injustices all because someone has chosen to live or believe different than ourselves.

If we are the beginning then we are off to a very bad start. Surely this isn’t the best we can offer the universe in the early stages of life? Dare we go out into the universe with all that we currently have to bring with us? We are not ready!

If we are the last of life here in the universe then we are a sad testament to what once was and I often wonder how bad it was if we are the example, the remains of what once was? Maybe we were shunned and banished form something far greater? Are we to go out in such a sad state, a dim light fading in the darkness? Surely we could’ve done better?

Regardless of which way this is going, surely we can do better? Let us put in one major effort to start or end this better! Stop for a moment and forget your divides, your prejudices, your short sighted assumptions of that which you don’t know, and see the world as it is for what it is and ask of ourselves “How can I do better?”.

Am I ready to go out there?

Life! How do you want it to begin? How do you want it to end?

When America was founded our founding fathers created various documents one of which is the Declaration of Independence! This document was in itself a declaration of war, a drawing of the line in the sand that states we have had enough! Enough of the government being in our business, enough of being over taxed, enough of limited or no freedom, enough of a specific religion being forced upon us and this was in 1776!

It is therefore my duty as an American to say I have had enough. I hereby state my own Declaration of Independence and therefore remove myself from the Republican/Democrat train wreck and proceed to seek out other, better choices.

I have had enough and draw the line in the sand. Starting this November I will go into the voting booth and start a revolution of real change as I vote for “Other”. The tea is going into the harbor!

You can’t have different voting for the same! At some point you have to say enough and make change really happen. It starts with you!

What I Feel!

As a writer and philosopher I carry the heaviest burden and the deepest pain of seeing a nation I cannot change, a people I cannot save, a world who’s future is bleak and dark who’s destiny I cannot prevent.

No one can ever understand how I feel inside and what it is I carry in my heart. Only one like me will understand this burden and pain that resides within me.

All I can do is the one thing I know how…write. Write in hope that somewhere someone who can direct these changes will see, understand and hear the message. I write in hopes that maybe, just maybe, I can make a difference even if small. Even the smallest spark can start the greatest of fires!

Maybe my small spark of desire for change will inflame the world with the fires of hope and change! Maybe not today, but maybe tomorrow the fires of change will rage!

I carry a burden no one can take from me and it is heavy.
I feel a pain no one can cure and it runs deep in my soul.
I carry a hope for a hopeless future.
I carry the spark that could very well set the world ablaze!

True Revolution

True revolution does not require weapons of war or destruction, but a change in precepts to seek out justice in the unjust and to bring about that which is right from all that is wrong. To bring about true ideals that balance lives of those who live in said nation with values of fairness, justice and wisdom.

True revolution begins in ones heart as the soul wearies of unjust acts by those in power and seeks to correct the destructive course of the nation of which they reside to bring about true peace and prosperity.

True revolution comes when one chooses to rise up and say NO MORE, that this has gone on long enough! When one desires hope for humanity in an inhumane world so inasmuch that one will stand even when at their weakest to bring strength to others just as weak and guidance to those lost of heart and hope.

True revolution begins with the spoken word or the written lines of ideals, hopes, and dreams of those who wish to bring about change, true change.

True revolution begins when we elect true leaders that support the ideals of fairness, justice, hope and the dreams of the nation of which they are to serve.

I now stand and draw the line that now is the time to start this revolution to change the direction of which we are headed. Election day is coming, stand your ground, bridge the gap, and stop letting those in power cross the line.

True revolution begins when we finally decide we want change and work as one nation to do just that. No more racial, political nor religious divides!

We are one or we are none!

My Trek – That One Brief Moment

“Q: …We wanted to see if you had the ability to expand your mind and your horizons. And for one brief moment, you did.
PICARD: When I realized the paradox.
Q:  For that one fraction of a second, you were open to options you had never considered. That is the exploration that awaits you. Not mapping stars and studying nebulae, but charting the unknowable possibilities of existence.”
Star Trek The Next Generation – All Good Things

I small snippet of my favorite episode of STTNG.  It has always been an inspiration.  It, in my eyes, is about how the present and future can be affect by the past and you must deal with the destructiveness of the past to save your future.  It showed how everything, past, present and future is connected.

For most of my life I was always there for someone else and many times I lost myself because of this.  I never got to see who or what I was or explore my life to its potential.  I was the sacrifice for someone else’s agenda or goal.  My life was taken from me, now I’m taking it back!

This means removing and dealing with things that had or have a negative impact on my life.  Removing people from my life that were unhealthy and bad influences.  To finally set myself free and heal.

This has been my journey, dealing with destructive issues of my past to save my present and future.  To experience that one brief moment of realization of all the possibilities of my life.  To see what my life can really be and to experience and explore so much more of life.  To open my mind to options I never even considered.  To live!

That is the exploration, the journey, that awaits me!
