You brought the storm, but tell me to hold back the rain.
You brought the war, but tell me to hold my fire.
You brought the pain, but tell me not to hurt you.
Bring forth what you will, but I will stand my ground. I will bring the rain and wash you away, I will stand up for myself, I won’t hurt you, you’re doing a fine job on your own, but I will walk away.
This is my storm now and all that was bad for me, will now be washed away in the floods of change and healing.
